Everton morning headlines with claims Gabriel 'passes Toffees medical' as attention turns to Frattesi

Here is your Everton Morning Digest for Friday, 27 March, including the latest on Gabriel Magalhaes, Davide Frattesi and Jean-Clair Tobido.

Magalhaes has Everton medical

According to the Independent, Gabriel Magalhaes has passed an offsite medical at Everton.

The Toffees have reportedly offered the 22-year-old Brazilian a contract, hoping to get the deal done quickly.

The Lille defender is also a target for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and Everton’s Premier League rivals Leicester City.

Magalhaes has made 24 appearances for Lille this season, scoring one goal for the fourth-placed side.

Frattesi a target for Toffees

Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi has attracted the interest of Everton, as well as Italian duo Roma and Juventus, according to ForzaRoma.

The report suggests that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has told his scouts to keep an eye on the 20-year-old with the summer transfer window coming up.

Frattesi used to play for Roma, but was allowed to move to Sassuolo, and now his former side want him back after an impressive season in the Serie A.

The Italian midfielder has made 27 appearances in the Italian top-flight this season – scoring five goals and assisting two.

Todibo boost for Everton

Barcelona defender Todibo, who is currently on loan at Schalke, could be snubbed by the Bundesliga side.

Everton are said to have shown interest in the French defender in the summer before he joined the German club.

Schalke have the option to sign the 20-year-old, who has made five appearances in the Bundesliga this season, but German publication Bild report he is unlikely to sign permanently.

Everton register interest in Arias

The Toffees are interested in Atletico Madrid full-back Santiago Arias according to Spanish publication AS.

Arias has made just 11 appearances for Atletico in all competitions this season, and Everton could face competition from Napoli and Inter Milan.

The 28-year-old joined the Spanish giants from PSV Eindhoven in 2018 but has fallen out of favour with the arrival of former Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier in the summer of 2019.
