Everton morning headlines as Shani Tarashaj contract is clarified and Sandro's future remains uncertain

Good morning, Everton fans. Here are your morning headlines for Saturday, June 27.

Why Tarashaj remains under contract at Everton

Shani Tarashaj remains contracted to Everton after the club updated his registration in July 2019.

The 25-year-old forward joined the Toffees in January 2016 on a four-and-a-half-year deal but joined Dutch side FC Emmen on a two-year loan last summer.

Tarashaj’s contract at Goodison Park would have been due to expire at the end of June, but the club restructured his deal to spread his wages over the next two years and help secure his loan move to Emmen.

The Dutch club are paying an unconfirmed percentage of the player’s wages.

The five-time Switzerland international did not make an appearance during his time on Merseyside.

Sandro yet to agree Valladolid extension

Sandro Ramirez’s future looks uncertain with Everton and Real Valladolid yet to agree terms on an extension to the forward’s loan.

Ramirez joined Valladolid last summer after failing to establish himself at Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old former Barcelona man has featured regularly for Valladolid, scoring three times in 20 games, but has until Tuesday to resolve his future.

The former Spain Under-21 international managed only one goal in 15 games for Everton after joining from Malaga in 2017.

Ramirez has also had loan spells with Sevilla and Real Sociedad.

Blues offer midfielder professional contract

Everton have handed emerging midfielder Sebastian Quirk a professional deal.

The 18-year-old has starred for the club’s under-23s this season after making his Premier League 2 debut in January.

Tyler Onyango is also expected to be offered a pro deal following a series of impressive displays in David Unsworth’s youth side.

However, Jonathan Anderson, Jack Barrett and defender Joshua Hosie have all left the club after failing to secure contracts.
