The Everton players who could leave on loan this week
The domestic transfer window remains open until October 16, which means several Everton players could yet leave the club.
Some youngsters and players on the fringes will still hope to depart on loan, even if time is quickly running out.
Everton look to have wrapped things up in terms of new arrivals, with Ben Godfrey and Robin Olsen arriving on deadline day.
Here we took a look at the players who might be set to gain some more experience away from the club .
Everton can take advantage of Klopp’s approach to derby
Jurgen Klopp’s attempts to play down the upcoming Merseyside derby should spur on Everton, writes the ECHO’s Michael Ball .
The game descending into a typically combative scrap for the points could work in favour of Carlo Ancelotti’s side, even if the likes of James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have started the season in fine style.
Everton are the form team, but Liverpool remain the favourites heading into Saturday’s game at Goodison Park.
But all of that could play into the Blues’ favour, particularly with an astute tactician like Ancelotti in the home dugout.
Ebbrell ‘more excited’ than ever by Everton youngsters
Everton under-23 assistant manager John Ebbrell has admitted he is “excited” by the current group of young players at the club.
Matthew Pennington, Callum Connolly, Beni Baningime and Nathan Broadhead could all leave on loan this week, while Dennis Adeniran joined Wycombe Wanderers last month.
But a strong group of young players remain at the club, including the likes of Joe Anderson, Einar Iversen and Rhys Hughes.
“We always watch the under-18s and under-16s so we're always looking for players to come in at the right time if it's right for them, but sometimes they just get a chance,” Ebbrell told the ECHO .
“It happens quickly and you just have to take that opportunity. The young players at the moment are doing very well so that's pleasing.
“I think the senior players are helping the younger players but they will obviously go if the right loan move comes and then, again, the younger players have to take on more responsibility.
“Each year is very similar, but I am more excited this year by the young players than I have been for a couple of seasons. That's all about their attitude and ability.”
