Here are your Everton morning headlines for Sunday, June 7.
Pair making impression
Everton's head of physical conditioning has heaped praise upon the club’s captain and vice-captain for their leadership in training.
Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines have been described as "always among the best" in training and as being influential voices to lead others.
Francesco Mauri said: “Leighton and Seamus are always among the best players in training.
“Every day they want to show the young players how you have to be professional and competitive to play for this club.
“They make your job easier and we are very happy to have them.
“When a teammate says something to you, it is sometimes more effective than if a member of staff or the manager says it to you.
“It is not easy for the boss or the staff because you don’t want to be too aggressive.
“When a team-mate or the captain or a player with a lot of experience says something, it is easier to accept.
“It is very important to have leaders who make your job easier."
Ancelotti urged to experiment
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has been urged to use the final nine league games of the season to experiment with his squad.
Everton sit 12th in the standings and whilst they are only six points from a European spot, barring a remarkably strong finish to the campaign that may prove beyond them this season.
It has now been argued that the time has come for different players to be given an opportunity to build a long-term plan ahead of next campaign.
"Especially given our position in the league, it gives us an opportunity to see players who might not get game time in a 'normal season'," Buckland said on the Royal Blue podcast.
"It will be interesting to see how Carlo uses the last nine games of the season because, maybe the derby aside, he might start to have a look at the whole squad and the use of five subs widens that opportunity."
"I'm thinking we might see a mix of players starting. Moise Kean could well start three or four games. It could be the time for experimentation from Carlo to have a look at the squad and I would like to see some of the players from the Academy get a chance.
"There is an opportunity to get something positive out of what will be, for a lot of people, not the greatest way to play football, for obvious reasons.
"On the assumption we may not get into Europe, I would like to see the net cast wide for some players to get more game time."
Toffees lead Rabiot race
Everton are leading the race to land out-of-favour Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Mail have cited Italian media outlet Tuttosport as claiming the Toffees were ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal for the Frenchman.
Carlo Ancelotti may prove to be a decisive factor in negotiations - the Italian boss handed the midfielder his debut for Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 as a 17-year-old.
Rabiot left the Parisians last summer on a free to join the Italian champions but his €7.5m (£6.6m) annual wage may prove the biggest stumbling block for a move to Goodison Park.
