Everton morning headlines as Napoli drop Allan transfer hint

Here are the Everton morning headlines for Saturday, August 29.

Bernard faces uncertain future

Everton will have to sell some first-team squad players this summer and Brazilian winger Bernard may be one of those to be moved on.

The ECHO outlined how Bernard was involved from the start just twice in the club’s final nine games of the season and now faces an uncertain future.

James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan are among the players being linked with a move to Goodison Park and room will have to be made on the wage bill.

It is argued that 2018 arrival Bernard could be one of those who is moved on after 66 appearances for the club.

No bids for Sandro

Striker Sandro Ramirez will be moved on by Everton this summer, but the club are yet to receive any firm proposals for a move.

Shifting the striker’s wage bill this year is a priority for the club but so far they have only been able to send the player out on loan deals - to Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Real Valladolid respectively.

Sandro was a 2017 arrival from Malaga in a £5.2million deal, but he has failed to establish himself in the first-team squad and a summer return to Spain seems most likely at this stage.

Allan interest continues

Napoli midfielder Allan remains a strong transfer target for Everton this summer, the ECHO understands.

The 29-year-old is on the radar this summer for the Toffees and he was left out of Napoli’s squad entirely for their latest pre-season friendly.

The Brazilian now appears to have fallen out of favour under coach Gennaro Gattuso and looks set to exit Stadio San Paolo this summer, but it's yet to be seen if Everton will have the finances available to conclude such a deal.
