Here are your Everton morning headlines for Wednesday, 14 October.
Everton confirm Shani Tarashaj exit
Everton forward Shani Tarashaj has left the club after his two-year loan deal with Dutch club FC Emmen ended prematurely .
Tarashaj joined the Blues from Grasshopper Club Zurich in 2016 before spending two loan spells back at the Swiss club either side of a temporary stint with Eintracht Frankfurt.
He joined FC Emmen on loan at the start of last season, with Everton agreeing to extend his contract by another 12 months to facilitate a two-year move.
However, FC Emmen have now opted to terminate his deal and the 25-year old has now also left Everton having not made a single first team appearance.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to retain Robin Olsen and Jonas Lossl in 2020-21
Everton are unlikely to allow back up goalkeeper Jonas Lossl to leave the club on loan this season, with the Dane expected to stay and fight for his place against new signing Robin Olsen.
Swedish international Olsen joined from AS Roma in a deadline day loan move to provide additional cover for Jordan Pickford.
His arrival sparked speculation that former Huddersfield Town stopper Lossl may be allowed to depart, but Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep three senior keepers in his squad for the long season ahead .
Lossl has played a deputy role to Pickford during his time at the club, and despite Joao Virginia also edging ahead of him in the pecking order, he looks set to remain at Goodison Park beyond the domestic transfer deadline on Friday.
Ben Godfrey could make Everton debut in Goodison Park derby clash
New Everton signing Ben Godfrey could be thrown in at the deep end on his Blues debut this weekend with the England Under-21 international potentially starting at right back against Liverpool.
Godfrey joined the Blues in a £25m deadline day switch from Norwich City and with club captain Seamus Coleman struggling with a hamstring injury and Jonjoe Kenny sidelined, he could be asked to fill in.
The 22-year old played the bulk of his football at centre back for the Canaries last season but he stated, following his move to Everton, that he is comfortable with playing across the backline .
"I will play wherever the manager sees fit as I absolutely trust his opinion," Godfrey said during his unveiling as an Everton player.
“I’m ready and raring to go. We’ve had the international break now but I will come back after that and it will be time for work.”
