Everton morning headlines as Anthony Gordon advised to be patient as new stadium worth highlighted

Here are your Everton morning headlines for Thursday, November 12.

Gordon will need to remain patient

Everton fans would love to see more of local lad Anthony Gordon in their side, and they thought that might have occurred recently when Richarlison was suspended for three matches.

However, aside from 30 minutes in the match at Southampton, Gordon has been limited to appearances in the Carabao Cup. He recently turned out for the under-23s too and has been told by Carlo Ancelotti that he will need to bide his time.

The Echo understands that Gordon is relaxed about his situation, and the Blues clearly have faith in his abilities as they have rejected requests from other clubs to take the player on loan.

But surely he needs to play more in order to continue developing? Ancelotti’s recent comments on Gordon can be read here .

Richarlison’s absence has highlighted his value

Rarely will a team have entered one international break in such contrasting form to how they went into the previous one.

Everton started the season on fire, and were top of the table as Premier League action was paused for international football in October, but following the resumption of domestic action the Blues earned just one point from their four matches.

And it isn’t entirely coincidental that Richarlison has been absent for the three straight defeats which Everton have recently suffered. Connor O’Neill has taken a look at the Blues’ record without the Brazilian , and what impact his absence has upon Ancelotti’s tactics.

New stadium vital for Blues

It’s clear that Everton’s proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will revolutionise the club’s finances. Phil Kirkbride has compared the Blues’ match day income with the sums generated by the Premier League’s big six clubs , and Everton clearly lag a long way behind at present.

Their new ground should provide an immediate improvement to their income, as they will be able to house more season ticket holders than could fill Goodison Park in its entirety.

With a waiting list of between 12,000 and 15,000, the club should have no issue with hitting the target of selling around 42,000 season tickets either.

The move to the new stadium cannot come soon enough for Everton and their supporters.
