Everton midfielder Tom Davies helps the homeless in Liverpool city centre

Everton midfielder Tom Davies joined the Sunday Supper Project in Liverpool to help provide essentials for the homeless community before New Year.

Davies was pictured with a group of volunteers as he handed clothes, food, hot drinks and toiletries to those in need in the city centre.

In a post to social media, Vicki Prior wrote: "Successful evening handing out clothes, food, hot drinks & toiletries to the Liverpool homeless community.

"We're always looking for donations, so if you have any old clothes, shoes etc then please get in touch."

Nathan O'Brennan replied: "This is brilliant, you and all the rest of the helpers there are awesome!

"With everything going on, the homeless community can get forgotten, well done for making sure that's not happening."

Another added: "As [someone] that's been homeless a few times, this is amazing!

"Well done to you all."
