Everton midfielder Jean-Phillipe Gbamin has posted an injury update to his Instagram page ahead of pre-season.
Gbamin missed the majority of last season before making his comeback to the delight of Everton fans.
However, his time in the side lasted no longer than a week after suffering medial ligament damage in a training ground incident with Lucas Digne.
Everton confirmed the Ivorian would not require surgery but could not play a part in the remainder of the season.
The Blues continue their search for a new manager who will hope to get the best out of the £25million signing who has been plagued with injuries since arriving from Mainz two years ago.
Gbamin is aiming to join his teammates for pre-season training and posted an injury update to his Instagram page on Sunday.
He wrote: "Preparation, work continues."
Despite his lack of appearances so far, Gbamin is determined to prove a successful signing at Goodison Park.
He told the ECHO in April: "No it's not easy [being out for so long], but now I have three years left on my contract, so I will show why they bought me.
"This is my target, I will work hard in training and show that I can start some of the games.
"But we have to be a little patient too, because after two years of injury it's never easy."
