Everton manager Marco Silva has accepted a £12,000 fine from the FA relating to improper conduct.
Silva confronted referee Lee Mason upon the full time whistle after Everton’s defeat to Newcastle earlier this month.
The Toffees boss was enraged after Salomon Rondon’s winner for the Magpies was allowed to stand, despite being shown to be offside.
The verdict comes as a relief to Everton and Silva, with the club fearful the manager might receive a two-match touchline ban due to the similar nature of the incident to when Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confronted Mike Dean.
An FA statement read: “Marco Silva has been fined £12,000 following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today.
“The Everton manager accepted an improper conduct charge from The FA, which resulted from his behaviour on the field of play at the end of the Premier League fixture against Newcastle United.”
