Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti rejects dressing room drama and offers Fabian Delph social media verdict

Carlo Ancelotti insisted there had been no arguments on the training ground or in the dressing room after Everton's defeat to Liverpool last Sunday.

The Blues boss said that discussions had taken place but that the players agreed they had made mistakes.

"There was no argument absolutely on the training ground or in the dressing room.

"No absolutely not, there was no criticising. The players listened, they agreed on the mistake that we could not play a good game.

"There was no argument just discussion. I understand the devastation of the supporters, this is normal when you lose a derby."

The Italian also confirmed he and the club spoke with Fabain Delph after the midfielder engaged in an argument with angry Everton supporters on social media.

"I spoke with him, me and the club spoke with him that it was a mistake that he shouldn't do a reaction on this not after the game.

"The supporters are frustrated and maybe sometimes you react emotionally and is not good but I think that everyone can understand."

A small group of fans turned up at the club's training ground on Monday morning to vent their grievances.

Marcel Brands spoke with the collection of supporters and Ancelotti said he understood their frustration.

"I spoke with Marcel. The supporters were frustrated after the defeat I understand.

"We need the support of our fans because we have a great opportunity to improve our game so I hope that tomorrow everything will be okay.

"In Italy it is normal. I can speak with them if they want I have absolutely no problem."
