Everton man spotted supporting former club in away end last night

Mason Holgate was a surprise addition to the West Brom away end last night.

The Everton defender was spotted supporting his former club in their Championship fixture against Leeds at Elland Road.

An Albion fan shared a picture of himself and Holgate on Twitter after spotting him among fellow supporters.

The Blues' man was unable to inspire his former team to victory with Leeds claiming a 1-0 win.

Holgate spent the second half of last season on loan at the Baggies, playing 23 games under both Darren Moore and Jimmy Shan.

The 22-year-old was linked with a return to the Hawthorns in the summer but a move did not materialise.

Holgate featured in Everton's Carabao Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday last week and the defender put in a confident display .

This is not the first time Premier League players have been spotted supporting their former Championship clubs this season.

Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie watched ex-club Swansea beat QPR in August and the Scotsman led the chants in the away end.
