Everton loan star lauded for 'flawless' debut as manager praises fan connection

Huddersfield Town manager Danny Cowley praised the 'flawless' performance of Everton loanee Jonas Lossl as the goalkeeper made his second debut in the 2-0 home win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Lossl arrived at Goodison Park from Huddersfield during the summer on a free transfer and penned a three-year contract before returning to the John Smith's Stadium on a loan deal until the end of the season in January.

The 31-year-old has also admitted he was 'looking' for a move when Cowley came calling for his services following a serious injury to Kamil Grabara, who is on loan from Liverpool.

"I thought it was a flawless display," the Huddersfield boss said of Lossl after the QPR victory.

"He brought a real calmness and presence.

"He didn't have to do too much with his hands but he caught a few important crosses, and I thought his distribution was outstanding.

"His distribution gave us a really good rhythm at times in our play, so he is an important signing.

"And you could feel the love for him, for sure, in the stadium.

"We want to try and make that connection with our supporters and it is coming, slowly.

"That's what we have to create. The supporters so want something to connect to, and that's what we are working hard for."
