"Simple reason behind team selection" - Phil Kirkbride
The reason for picking this team is simple: Spurs 0-1 Everton.
Carlo Ancelotti may want to promote players such as Anthony Gordon back into the matchday squad for this game, but he should not tinker with the starting XI.
Gordon should be among the subs for this game and it will be interesting to see who else makes the bench because Everton's strongest starting line-up seems pretty obvious, right now.
My team (4-3-3) - Pickford, Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne, Allan, Doucoure, Gomes, Rodriguez. Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison
"If it ain't broke..." - Adam Jones
We all know how the old saying goes by now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
That will surely be at the forefront of Carlo Ancelotti's mind when West Bromwich Albion visit Goodison Park on Saturday. The team clicked last time out, so why try to change it?
Granted this will be a different game, and you can expect Slaven Bilic to want to set his side up to be a defensively solid unit, but Everton should have the firepower to break through.
If James Rodriguez can provide Richarlison with the same opportunities as he did against Spurs, you'd back the Brazilian to score this time around.
The Colombia international then carries an obvious goal threat himself and that's before you even consider Dominic Calvert-Lewin coming through the centre.
All-in-all, the team looked so much more balanced in their new system and with the obvious additions in midfield. That could be poorly affected if a change is attempted.
Stick to your guns, Carlo.
My team (4-3-3) - Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne; Doucoure, Allan, Gomes; James, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison
"West Brom will want to shut up shop" - Chris Beesley
After making 10 changes for the midweek visit of Salford City in the Carabao Cup, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti could be tempted to make 10 more for West Bromwich Albion's trip to Goodison Park and revert to the XI that started the 1-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur.
While new trio Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure are all expected to come back in and make their home debuts, I would make one change from the Spurs game in an attempt to open up Slaven Bilic's defence.
The Baggies shipped three goals at the Hawthorns against Leicester City on their Premier League return and will therefore be determined to shut up shop against the Blues.
As a result, I'd try and go with a bit more penetration in the final third from midfield and start with Gylfi Sigurdsson ahead of Andre Gomes on the back of his exploits on Wednesday night - albeit against much lesser opposition.
My team (4-3-3) - Pickford; Coleman, Digne, Mina, Keane; Allan, Doucoure, Sigurdsson; James, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
