Everton line-ups vs Aston Villa as Carlo Ancelotti handed Yerry Mina dilemma

Phil Kirkbride - Unleash the attackers

Carlo Ancelotti needs as many attacking players on the pitch as possible as the Blues chase another vital win in the pursuit of Europe.

And a 4-4-2 diamond allows the Everton boss to have both Rodriguez and Sigurdsson in the same side as Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin.

The back four which played so well against Arsenal should remain but Tom Davies should come into midfield.

My team (4-4-2): Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Godfrey, Digne, Allan, Davies, Sigurdsson, Rodriguez, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.

Adam Jones - Solid formation is key

Make this the latest game in the list to be chalked down as "must win".

It really does feel like Everton have said that a lot recently, especially for home matches they have subsequently gone on to not secure three points in.

That can't be the case this time around, so there needs to be a solid formation at the very least to be able to get the best out of the squad.

I still believe that lies in either a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, and I think the latter should be employed on this occasion.

Yes it means that Richarlison gets moved out to the left side and James Rodriguez moves to the right flank, but both have proven excellent in those positions even this term.

Further back I think Tom Davies should be back in the side to provide more legs in midfield and I believe Yerry Mina should partner Ben Godfrey as probably Everton's most in-form pairing in defence.

My team (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Godfrey, Digne; Allan, Davies; Rodriguez, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.

Connor O’Neill - Davies has to start over Delph

After Friday’s win over Arsenal, it is safe to say that Carlo Ancelotti has another selection headache tonight.

Jordan Pickford will no doubt start in goal, while Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina, Ben Godfrey and Lucas Digne should all make up the back four.

While in midfield, Allan should be partnered by Tom Davies instead of Fabian Delph, with Gylfi Sigurdsson just in front of them.

Out wide, James Rodriguez should start on the right, with Richarlison on the left, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top.

My team (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Godfrey, Digne; Allan, Davies; Rodriguez, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.
