Everton line up vs Liverpool confirmed as Marco Silva sticks with new system

Everton have named an unchanged side for tonight’s Merseyside derby at Anfield.

Marco Silva has kept faith with the team that started against Leicester City on Sunday which included the use of three central defenders.

Jordan Pickford is in goal and looking to make amends for last season’s error which handed Liverpool a last-gasp victory in this fixture.

In front of the Blues’ goalkeeper will be Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.

Djibril Sidibe and Lucas Digne will operate as wing-backs with Gylfi Sigurdsson, Tom Davies, Alex Iwobi and Richarlison making up the midfield.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will once again be asked to plough a lone furrow upfront.

Silva has also named all but one of the same substitutes as he did on Sunday with Jonas Lossl the back-up goalkeeper and he sits on the bench alongside Leighton Baines, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bernard, Cenk Tosun and Moise Kean.

The fit again Theo Walcott replaces Anthony Gordon on the bench.
