Everton are interested in Burnley winger Dwight McNeil but face competition from Aston Villa for his signature.
The Blues are in the process of adding Andros Townsend to Rafa Benitez’s squad and also want Demarai Gray.
And it can now be revealed that Everton are keen on 21-year-old McNeil who is likely to cost in the region of £25m.
But the Blues will have to fend off interest from Villa who are said to be in pole position to land the former Manchester United youth player.
Everton are determined to add wingers with pace and creativity to the squad in this window with Benitez wanting to improve the supply line to top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The free transfer of Townsend is close and talks are on-going for the £1.5m acquisition of Gray.
And now Everton are interested in signing McNeil with three wingers on the club’s wish list this summer.
