Everton hope to sign Djibril Sidibe today as transfer business steps-up ahead of deadline

The 27-year-old right-back will join for the season from AS Monaco and is booked in for a medical.

Sidibe will arrive at Goodison to provide competition and cover for Seamus Coleman after Jonjoe Kenny was allowed to leave on loan.

Everton had looked at other right-backs, including Southampton's Cedric Soares, but Sidibe has been picked will undergo his Blues medical and complete his switch later today.

The Blues still want a winger, a centre-half and are also interested in bolstering their midfield options before tomorrow's 5pm cut off point.
