Everton have ‘everything in place’ to land Gabriel Magalhaes and more transfer rumours

The country may be on lockdown due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19 but, believe it or not, there are still transfer rumours getting out there with remarkable regularity.

Here’s all the latest Everton gossip, starting with...

Gabriel Magalhaes

Who?

The 22-year-old Lille defender has impressed in Ligue 1 over the last couple of seasons, having signed from Brazilian side Avai in 2017.

Where?

According to Le10Sport , via Sport Witness , Everton have “everything in place” to complete the deal.

Earlier this week, Sky Sports reported that Everton were one of four clubs to have offers for Gabriel accepted and that he is expected to cost around £30m. The move could be finalised in the next 10 days.

What?

Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer apparently and, with PSG also interested but unlikely to make a move unless they can sell someone first, Gabriel could be an exciting signing for the Toffees.

Ciro Immobile

Who?

The ludicrously prolific Lazio striker who has been touted as a marquee signing for Everton this summer.

Where?

Unfortunately for Ancelotti, Immobile might not be going anywhere. That’s according to Calciomercato , anyway, with Lazio apparently unwilling to sell their star striker.

Immobile is under contract until 2023 and would likely cost Everton a considerable sum even if the Biancocelesti were keen to do a deal. Lazio are reportedly ready to offer him new and improved terms, however.

What?

Immobile would certainly be an eye-catching acquisition for Everton, who could do with a killer finisher up front.

With Lazio currently second in Serie A and in with a chance of winning the Scudetto thanks largely to Immobile’s goals, it’s little wonder they don’t want to lose him.

Martin Braithwaite

Who?

The former Middlesbrough forward who controversially signed for Barcelona in February after the Catalan giants were granted emergency permission to make a signing outside of the transfer window.

Where?

According to Diario Sport , via Football Espana , both Everton and West Ham are interested.

What?

Though Braithwaite has not yet scored for Barcelona, he has eight goals in all competitions from the first half of the season with Leganes.

Barca signed Braithwaite for around £15m and are not willing to make a loss on him if they sell him on.
