Hoo buddy, Everton just absolutely embarrassed Manchester United

Manchester United entering Sunday’s Premier League game against Everton looking to snag three points and continue their push to be in the top four of the league.

Then they went and got absolutely smoked.

Everton came out flying against the Reds, scoring two absolutely beautiful goals in the opening half hour to give themselves a 2-0 lead. In the second half it got even worse for Man U, as Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott tacked on two more. David Da Gea looked like he was ready to quit the team by the time the Walcott goal went in.

It was a perplexing performance from Man U, and a surprising one from Everton, a team I can’t make heads or tails of. Everton got beat last week 2-0 by relegated Fulham in a game in which they barely looked like a Premier League side. Then they come out and stomp all over United.

The first goal was an overhead volley from Richarlison of a long throw in that broke the deadlock in the 13th minute. A short time later, it was Gylfi Sigurdsson who scored the second, after a mazy run through the midfield saw him connect with his right foot and beat David Da Gea on the near post.

The second half was more of the same. Here are all the goals:

13′ – GOAL RICHARLISON

28′ – GOAL SIGURDSSON

56′ – GOAL LUCAS DIGNE

64′ – GOAL THEO WALCOTT
