Everton handed major boost ahead of Manchester United clash

Everton have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Manchester United after Luke Shaw picked up a suspension that will rule him out of the clash later this month.

The United defender was shown his tenth yellow card of the season during United's 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday night.

Shaw brought down Diogo Jota outside the area after he had raced clear. He will now recieve a two-match suspension ahead of the games against West Ham and Everton .

Had Shaw avoided a yellow card, his previous nine bookings would have been wiped out with the deadline around the corner.

However, it wasn't all positive news for Marco Silva 's men as Wolves' victory saw them move four points clear of Everton to consolidate seventh spot.

Elsewhere in the Premier League on Tuesday night, Watford kept up the pace with Wolves after defeating Fulham 4-1 to send the Cottagers down to the Championship.
