Everton have been handed a boost after Yerry Mina and Seamus Coleman both returned to training.
However, James Rodriguez and Gylfi Sigurdsson were both absent from their latest session as the Blues trained on Wednesday evening in a session broadcast live on YouTube.
Mina hasn’t played for Carlo Ancelotti ’s side since limping off against Manchester City last month, missing their last four games in the process, while Coleman has been sidelined since Everton ’s famous Merseyside derby victory over Liverpool.
The duo’s return to training should see them available to face Burnley this weekend, ahead of the Blues’ FA Cup quarter-final clash Manchester City later this month.
However, Rodriguez remains absent with the Colombian also missing since Everton’s win at Anfield.
The Blues are yet to disclose the reason for Sigurdsson’s absence, with Ancelotti set to off an injury update at his pre-match press conference later this week.
Elsewhere, Abdoulaye Doucoure was not involved after he was ruled out until after the March international break, with long-term absentees Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin also missing.
