"I support the club, I love the club and I want to fight for Everton. It means everything to be here. It’s life-changing.
“Even now, when I come through the gates at USM Finch Farm every morning, I have to pinch myself sometimes.
“My whole family are Blues and I feel like I’m making them proud. That’s what I want to keep doing, because they’ve supported me throughout my whole career so far.
“I’m going to continue working hard for them and for Everton to be the best I can be.”
Tyrer's only senior experience with the club so far came against Preston North End in the summer of 2020, and he produced a great display to keep a clean sheet at Goodison Park.
Since then he has regularly trained with the first team and he had a lot of praise for all of Pickford, Asmir Begovic and Andy Lonergan in helping him to develop.
The youngster also commented on those who have worked with him throughout his progress through the youth levels at Finch Farm.
“The coaches at the Academy… I actually look up to them as family,” he added.
“You become so close to them. I’ll never forget what they’ve done to help me.
“Training with the first team now, I’ve learned so much. Jordan Pickford, Asmir Begovic and Andy Lonergan have helped me a lot.
“With Jordan being England’s number one, it’s fantastic to be able to observe him closely and learn. He’s got such a great range of qualities.
“Andy and Asmir have brought great experience to the group. They pass on knowledge of the game from what they’ve learned in hundreds of matches in their careers.
“If you take little bits from each of them, it all adds up and helps you become a better keeper.”
