Everton trying to seal late transfer deadline day deal for Robin Olsen

UPDATED at 8.25pm.

Everton are trying to sign Roma's Robin Olsen on loan in the final few hours of deadline day.

The Blues are believed to have also enquired about Manchester United's Sergio Romero and Paulo Gazzniga of Tottenham Hotspur today.

But the club are now focused on Olsen.

Everton had held discussions about bringing in an experienced goalkeeper to provide provide added competition for the under-fire Jordan Pickford.

And the 30-year-old Swedish international is now being targeted before the 11pm cut-off.

Should a deal for Olsen be completed in time then it is likely to mean that either Jonas Lossl or Joao Virginia will leave the club.

Everton can do business with EFL clubs until 5pm on October 16 and a loan for either goalkeeper could be a possibility.
