Everton goalkeeper confirms transfer move to Schalke after rejecting new deal

Everton goalkeeper Dan Rose has confirmed his move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke.

The 16-year-old shot-stopper had featured on the bench for the under-18s at Finch Farm this season but will now link up with the German club.

The ECHO understands Rose is eligible to sign for Schalke after turning down the scholarship offered by Everton but training compensation - which is yet to be agreed - will be owed.

Rose posted on his personal Instagram page an image of him holding the Schalke jersey outside the Veltins Arena with the caption: "Delighted to sign for Schalke, can't wait to get started!"
