Everton give injury updates on James Rodriguez and Yerry Mina

Everton have confirmed that James Rodriguez will be fit for his side's match with Sheffield United on Sunday evening.

The playmaker has been out of action since withdrawing from the warm-up when he was due to start against Aston Villa at Goodison Park at the beginning of the month.

Having missed the Blues' last two matches, the 1-0 victory over West Ham and the 0-0 draw away to Dean Smith's side, he will now be back in contention for a crucial clash with the Blades on Sunday.

Rodriguez resumed full training with his teammates on Friday and will be involved again on Saturday as Everton complete their preparations for the match.

However, the club have also confirmed that Yerry Mina will remain absent for this weekend's game at Goodison.

The centre-back started against West Ham United last weekend but was substituted in the second half, with Carlo Ancelotti later confirming the defender had suffered a slight adductor problem.

Initial hopes suggested that the Colombia international would also be available for this weekend's game, but Friday's update from the Blues announced that Mina will continue to be on the sidelines.

The defender will look to return to the side instead for the subsequent visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers to Goodison Park the following Wednesday.
