Everton games Lucas Digne could miss after Southampton red card

Everton defender Lucas Digne was shown a straight red card for a foul on Kyle Walker-Peters against Southampton on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed he will appeal the dismissal following the decision by Kevin Friend in the 2-0 defeat.

Digne caught the back of Walker-Peters' heel as he chased down the full-back and with the offence classed as serious foul play, he is facing a three-match suspension.

Assuming the decision is not overturned, Digne would miss the trip to Newcastle United next weekend before sitting out a showdown with Manchester United at Goodison Park.

The ban will straddle the final international break of the year as Digne also misses the visit to Fulham on November 21.

The 27-year-old would return for Everton against Leeds United on Saturday, November 28.

Here is a full list of the Premier League fixtures Digne is set to miss:

Sun Nov 1

Newcastle United v Everton

Sat Nov 7

Everton v Manchester United

Sat Nov 21

Fulham v Everton

Digne has featured in all nine of Everton's fixtures in all competitions so far this season.
