Everton forced into late change to starting line-up against Arsenal

Everton have been forced into a late change after Michael Keane was hit by illness.

The Blues defender was set to take his place in an unchanged starting XI but a viral illness has required Marco Silva into a late change.

Phil Jagielka comes into the starting XI with James McCarthy promoted to the bench for today's game with Arsenal.

Silva had intended keeping faith with the same side that impressed at West Ham last weekend but Keane is not well enough to play, despite being named in the initial starting XI.

Jagielka now takes the captain's armband and his place in the line-up for the first time since the game with Cardiff City at the end of February.

McCarthy earns a promotion to the squad having faced up to the prospect of another game out of the matchday 18.
