Everton FC supports London family after 'unprovoked and random killing' of two sisters

Everton FC have publicly supported a London family after the "unprovoked and random" killing of two sisters.

Nicole Smallman, 27, and Bibaa Henry, 46, were stabbed multiple times in the early hours of June 6, in Kingsbury Park, London.

The two women's bodies were tragically found together the next day in the park.

A teenager has since appeared in court charged with two counts of murder and possession of an offensive weapon, the Kilburn Times reported.

Following their heartbreaking deaths, Everton have supported members of the family.

Nicole's father, Chris Smallman, is understood to be a lifelong Blues fan.

Everton have since been liaising with the family after the victim support unit made the club aware of Chris' allegiance.

On Sunday, the club shared a heartfelt tweet about how they've been helping.

It said: "Earlier this summer, two sisters were tragically [killed] in a park in London.

We have been liaising with Nicole and Bibaa’s family following those horrific events and encourage anyone who can to donate to Victim Support in their memory."

As well as tweeting their support, the club shared a link to a gofundmepage set up for the two women.

The page read: "There are no words to describe the atrocity we've all been going through, and ultimately will continue to endure for the rest of our lives.

"But Nicole and Bibaa's magical souls deserve to be celebrated and remembered for the extraordinary women, friends, sisters, and daughters they both were. Not only were they both beautifully gentle, but they were also strong, unique and wholly irreplaceable. The world is a much darker place without them.

"In memory of them both, their mother Mina Smallman, is kindly asking for donations to the Victim Support Charity in lieu of flowers. Not only has Victim Support covered their story, but they cover all of the causes the girls are passionate about. "

Danyal Hussein, 18, has appeared at the Old Bailey in connection with the womens' deaths.

Judge Lucraft set a plea and case management hearing for September 21, when a trial date will be considered.
