Everton fans unfurl beautiful 'Two Clubs, One City' banner against Sheffield Wednesday in memory of Hillsborough victims

Everton fans unfurled a touching banner in memory of the Hillsborough victims against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

The Blues supporters displayed the banner reading 'Two Clubs, One City' as their side beat Wednesday 2-0 at the Hillsborough Stadium.

The image of two young Everton and Liverpool mascots holding hands wearing shirts with 9 and 6 on their backs was also displayed on the banner.

Pictures of the banner, tweeted by Forever Everton with a blue heart, have since been liked and retweeted on the social media platform thousands of times.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also posted to say it was "brilliant".

During the match Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored twice in the first 10 minutes with no reply from the home side to see the Toffees progress into the fourth round.
