Everton fans are split over a potential deal to bring Marcos Rojo into the club from Manchester United.
The Blues have been on the hunt for a new centre-back throughout the summer, but have seen their hopes of bringing top target Kurt Zouma to the club on a permanent basis fade over the last few days.
With time running out until the transfer deadline at 5pm, the ECHO understands Everton are now in talks with Manchester United over a move for Rojo.

The Blues are understood to prefer a loan swoop for the Argentina international, but the Red Devils would be keen for a permanent deal.
Rojo only started three games for United last season and the Old Trafford club are keen to offload the 29-year-old.
Everton fans have been sharing their thoughts on a potential move for the centre-back - and find themselves split over whether it would represent a good transfer for the Blues or not.
Everton fans on here doing their best to justify the move for Rojo. He isn't good enough. Ask any Man Utd fan. Just end the window now if that's all we're going for. #EFC

Rojo would never have been close to a first choice for me after Zouma but any player coming in to Everton gets a clean slate with me. Good luck to the lad if it comes off

Is the Marcos Rojo rumours to Everton are true, then he’s going to have to change his name to Marcos Azul

Everton made a massive mistake when they didn't bring in an alternative when the Giroud deal didn't come off. We ended up flogging Calvert-Lewin until January when he wasn't ready. Signing Rojo isn't exciting but it's sensible business considering Zouma isn't coming... yet.

Please under any circumstances DO Not sign Rojo @Everton #DoNotFreeRojo #EFC

Can’t believe we’re at the stage where we have 6 hours and need the two most important positions that we needed at the start of the window. Lumped all hope on Zouma and are now ending up with Rojo.

I'd rather Everton loan Rojo this window and go an buy Zouma in the next one, when he can be replaced by Chelsea. Heard people saying Duffy or Dunk. What's the point in signing players permanently that Silva doesn't want. Weve got enough players we cant get rid of!

Rojo on loan would be sound, go for Zouma next year. Rojo even for a small fee (less than £10m) I’d be fine with. But Rojo for £25m? Seriously?
