Everton fans salute emerging hero who has 'turned into top player' after draw vs Liverpool

Everton fans have reacted in unison to the performance by Michael Keane in his side's 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool.

Carlo Ancelotti's men offered up a statement of intent to their rivals by going toe to toe with the reigning Premier League champions at Goodison Park.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool but Keane hit back with a header from James Rodriguez's cross.

The Reds were soon back in front thanks to Mohamed Salah's second-half goal, only for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to head home in the 81st minute.

Richarlison was sent off in the 90th minute but Everton held on to earn a point against Liverpool, with Keane heavily praised post-match for his strong display.

The 27-year-old has been a hit with Everton fans ever since his move from Burnley in 2017.

But this season has been his finest to date and it's something the Everton supporters above have certainly noticed.

The good news for Everton is that they should be seeing a lot more of Keane in the long-term after he signed a bumper deal in the summer which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
