Everton fans respond to 2019/20 Premier League fixtures as Blues face crucial winter period

The Premier League fixture list for the 2019/20 season was released on Thursday morning and most Everton fans are feeling optimistic.

Marco Silva's side will be looking to push on following last season's credible eighth placed finish.

Everton travel to Crystal Palace on the first matchday weekend, and fans are looking forward to their trip to Selhurst Park.

One particular reason for the Blues' supporters positivity is because of Palace's dire opening day record.

The Londoners have failed to win a home fixture on the first day of the season since their 2013 return to England's top flight.

Fans feel confident the first four fixtures present Silva's men a real opportunity to put some points on the board and build some momentum.

One supporter wrote: "Good chance (to be) top of the league after them games."

Though one down side for Blues' fans looks to be a challenging festive period in which Everton come up against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and reigning champions Manchester City.

Fans have labelled December's fixtures as 'brutal', with one supporter writing: "Another brutal December."

The club's official Twitter sent the perfect response to Sky Sport's tweet.

With Everton having drawn one and won four of the same fixtures, keeping clean sheets in all of them, the Toffees replied: "We don't mind the cold...or the wind."

Supporters are remaining optimistic and hoping for a solid start to the campaign as well as a decent ending.

Blues fans think the final five fixtures - against Southampton, Wolves, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Bournemouth - present a real opportunity to finish the season in style.
