Evertonians have been loving Richarlison’s cheeky x-rated message online.
The Brazilian star replied to a video clip on Twitter showing a Southampton fan’s reactions to the goals during the Blues’ 2-1 victory at St Mary’s on November 9, 2019, when after Danny Ings had cancelled out Tom Davies’ opener, Richarlison grabbed a 75th minute winner.
After Richarlison’s strike, visiting Everton supporters can be heard singing their popular terrace anthem: “He's Brazilian, he only cost £50 million, and we think he's f****** brilliant, Richarlison!”
In case anyone was in any doubt over the content of the lyrics, the 23-year-old spelled them out in full – without any asterisk censorship – and complete with some musical note emojis for his over half a million followers.
Predictably, the post went down a treat with many supporters with typical responses including “never leave” and “love you.”
Along with another of Everton’s 2018 recruits Yerry Mina, he was told to work on his English skills by Carlo Ancelotti’s predecessor and fellow native Portuguese speaker Marco Silva.
The former Fluminense and Watford forward has been using social media to demonstrate his improving use of the language with his interactions with fans becoming a popular feature.
Typically though, Richarlison has also been picking up some of the blunter words in our vernacular vocabulary.
