A huge outpouring of emotion met the final whistle and that has continued across social media into the weekend. Supporters are now attempting to repeat a chart-topping trick they achieved at the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign.

Having had a strong start to that term under Carlo Ancelotti, fans were desperate to show their support in any way possible as matches were being played behind-closed-doors at the time. A campaign was started to get anthem "Spirit Of The Blues", originally released in 1984, top the top of the charts - and it reached No. 1 in the downloads chart for 2-8 October 2020.

Now the track is climbing back up once again, with it sitting at number 16 in the UK iTunes chart at the time of writing.

Everton still have one more match to close out the 2021/22 campaign against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Frank Lampard will be hoping his side can end the term on something of a high, taking this positive energy through into the summer.
