Everton fans identify where Liverpool lost Premier League title and celebrate with new chant

Everton fans in London couldn’t help but show their joy as fierce local rivals Liverpool lost the league to Manchester City by one point on the final day of the season.

Liverpool were relying on City to slip up at Brighton but Pep Guardiola’s men ran out 4-1 winners confirming City as Champions for a second successive season.

Despite Liverpool winning 2-0 against Wolves at Anfield, victory on the last day of the Premier League season wasn’t enough to end the red half of Merseyside’s long wait for the top prize in England.

The last time Liverpool dropped points in the title run in was at Goodison Park. Everton held them to a 0-0 draw which has now proved to be costly.

Everton finished their Premier League campaign off with a solid 2-2 draw with Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur and as whistles sounded out across the country to signify the end of the Premier League season, Blues fans couldn’t hide their joy.

The travelling away support also paid tribute to former Everton player Mikel Arteta, who was a key men back in the David Moyes era.

The Spaniard is part of Man City’s coaching staff and the video shows jubilant fans singing: ‘Follow follow follow, Everton is the team to follow, because there’s nobody better than Mikel Arteta, the best little Spaniard we know’.
