Everton Fans' Forum send out simple message after latest Rafa Benitez banner

The Everton Fans' Forum have released a simple message to supporters in the wake of the latest banner against Rafa Benitez.

The Spaniard is edging closer to being confirmed as the new Blues manager, taking over at Goodison Park following the shock departure of Carlo Ancelotti to return to Real Madrid at the beginning of June.

Since it was confirmed that the former Liverpool manager was the front-runner for the position, a number of supporters have voiced their concerns over the potential decision.

Banners against the appointment had previously appeared at Goodison, but the latest over the weekend appeared to be placed near the Wirral home of Benitez.

An image of the message shared on social media showed the banner reading: "We know where you live, don't sign."

Social media has been awash with Everton supporters condemning the act throughout Monday morning, and now the Fans' Forum have added their voice.

Their message simply reads: "Two of the traits that make our fanbase one of the best: Emotion, Passion.

"However there is no need to resort to: Insults, Threats.

"That's not the Evertonian way!"

It emerged just under two weeks ago that Benitez was the front-runner for the Everton job, taking over from previous favourite Nuno Espirito Santo.

It's understood that the Spaniard will hold talks with Duncan Ferguson after his potential appointment to discuss the assistant manager staying on as part of a revamped backroom staff.
