Plenty of Everton fans have been reacting to the crowd noise which has been used during their FA Cup tie.
The Blues are taking on Sheffield Wednesday at Goodison Park in the fourth round of the competition, where the winner will face either Wycombe Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur.
Current government guidelines mean that no fans were allowed to be present for Sunday night’s game against the Owls, so BT Sport, who broadcast the game, gave fans the option to watch the match with a fake crowd noise in the background.
The choice of noise that the broadcaster used certainly caught the attention of Everton fans, and as a result they took to social media to provide their thoughts and emotions.
Here is a selection of what they had to say.
Ped 7 : “Apparently we are playing at lunch time in the Gwladys street school playground.”
The Toffee Blues: “You sure you've got the right crowd noise on lads? @btsportfootball.”
Random Everton: “BT Sport using the crowd noise from sports day at my old high school.”
Dave: “What's with the fake crowd noise on this Everton game? Sounds like a primary school sports day.”
Max Stokes: “What’s this crowd noise about on the Everton game? Sounds like there’s about 50 primary school kids in the ground and that’s it.”
Jamie Waller: “Why does @btsport crowdnoise at Everton sound like break time at a primary school?”
Andy Hughes: “Is the crowd noise taken from a school sports day.”
