Everton fans all say the same thing as Blues given home tie with Leicester

Everton have been given a home draw against high-flying Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

The Foxes are third in the Premier League table and recently recorded a 9-0 win over Southampton.

However, it's perhaps not the hardest draw the Blues could have faced and Marco Silva 's side have shown they can get results at home.

Everton fans have reacted to their club's tie - with many believing playing at Goodison could be the key to progression.

The Blues are yet to win a league game away from home this season but did pick up victories in earlier rounds against Lincoln City and Sheffield Wednesday.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Tough - at least we're at home".

On Facebook, Nick Wood wrote: "It's a tough game, they're flying this season (feel a bit jealous as that could or should be us).

"But it's a QF [quarter-final], so you can expect a tough game. We're at home, we've avoided City, so I'll take that."

Lee Stephenson debated whether Leicester would be as focused on the Carabao Cup as Everton.

He said: "Good home draw, in six weeks time they will be looking whether to prioritise league position or concentrate on the cup.

"They play City a few days after the tie, they rested a few midweek hopefully they might do the same."

Paul Barnfield also said it was a tough draw but that being at home made it "winnable".
