Everton fans all say same thing after Tottenham Hotspur hijack Arnaut Danjuma transfer

Everton fans are not happy about the prospect of missing out on the signing of Arnaut Danjuma.

The Blues were apparently closing in on the capture of the forward on loan from Villarreal. But multiple breaking reports, including from our own Chris Beesley, have suggested Danjuma could now be on his way to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur instead.

The 25-year-old is said to have completed a medical at Everton and agreed personal terms on a deal that would see him spend the rest of the season on loan at Goodison Park. But since then the Blues have sacked manager Frank Lampard, who paid the price with his job after a run of 11 defeats in 14 matches that have left the club deep in relegation trouble.

Tottenham Hotspur, in contrast, have a manager, in Antonio Conte, and won 1-0 at Fulham on Monday night to close the gap on the Champions League places to three points.

Everton supporters, understandably, are not happy with the latest development around Danjuma. Here is a look at what sections of fans have had to say on social media.

Paul: “To go join Richarlison on the bench? What's the point of going out on loan to still not play?”

EFCCarlos: “Danjuma will literally get about 10 mins of football for Spurs.”

Tom: “Be a star player and a hero at Everton or a bench player getting 10 minutes game time every week at a smaller club. Up to you.”

Ian: “Danjuma won’t even get a game for Spurs, poor move for him.”

James Evans: “If Danjuma joins Spurs he won't get played so his own fault what makes him think he's better than Richy.”
