Everton expected to fine Jordan Pickford after Sunderland scuffle

Everton are expected to fine Jordan Pickford after he was involved in a scuffle outside a Sunderland nightspot.

Pickford has apologised to Blues boss Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands following the incident on Sunday night.

The Everton goalkeeper was on a sanctioned day off but an evening out with friends in his hometown turned when his fiancee was insulted.

Video and images emerged on Monday of Pickford being involved in an altercation and the Blues released a statement saying they were investigating the matter.

Northumberland Police also confirmed they were looking into the incident.

Silva said he was "not happy" with Pickford but has accepted his apology and was keen to move on, insisting the matter was closed.

Pickford will keep his place in goal for tomorrow's game with Arsenal but is braced to receive a fine from Everton , which could amount to a week's wage.

Richarlison's agent reveals real reason he met Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Silva told the ECHO: "It is something that will stay inside.

"Everything we did with him is finished and the matter is done and there is nothing more to say."Everything was clear to him and everything is done."

Marco Silva addresses Richarlison to Liverpool transfer rumours and gives update on Theo Walcott's future
