Everton evening headlines as Hernan Crespo makes supporter admission

Here are your Everton evening headlines for Tuesday June 30.

Mina fitness boost for Toffees

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has delivered his latest squad update, with the news that centre-half Yerry Mina is back in contention after picking up a thigh injury at the beginning of June.

However, three other Toffees remain sidelined.

"Only Yerry Mina is back,” said Ancelotti .

"Sidibe will be back on Friday, and Theo Walcott will be back in training on Monday. Fabian Delph is still injured and is doing individual sessions. I don't know exactly when he can recover properly.

"I think it's really important [to have players back] because now we begin a period where we are going to have a lot of games.”

Argentina legend explains why he’s an Everton fan

Argentina legend and former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo says that Carlo Ancelotti’s role at the club has made him an Everton fan, such is his admiration for the Italian manager.

“Carlo is like a father to me," Crespo told the Daily Mail .

“Carlo is a passionate person; he is one of the coaches that helped to introduce me into Europe and helped me to establish myself.

“When I watch his matches for Everton, I want him to win because he's a great person and a great manager.”

Everton set to miss out on June star

The Toffees look set to miss out on Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot as the Serie A giants seem keen on keeping their man in Turin.

Carlo Ancelotti was reportedly keen on bringing Rabiot to Goodison Park, with the tenacious midfielder set to provide some much-needed bite in the middle of the park.

But Juventus’ sporting director Fabio Paratici, in conversation with Sky Sport Italia , said : "he’s a great player and has proved that in part in a few different games.

"He’s an important player for us, both for the present and the future of Juve."
