Good evening, Everton fans. Here are your evening headlines for Tuesday, October 13.
Neville proved right about Rodriguez impact at Everton
James Rodriguez has been one of the breakout stars of the Premier League so far this season.
The Colombian international joined Everton from Real Madrid in the summer and has instantly adapted to life at Goodison Park.
Rodriguez's arrival saw Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United captain Gary Neville talk about a “mentality shift” that the club needed to make to go along with their new signings.
He said: “They (Everton) have got a big-name manager and a few big-name players, and if that doesn’t change the mentality and culture of the club that has really struggled, walk into a big match anywhere it would seem for years and years and feel like they belong.
“James Rodriguez is not going to go out there and feel like he doesn’t belong on this occasion.
"He has played for Real Madrid, in World Cups, he played for Bayern Munich. For me, I think it is about the mentality shift that Everton have needed to make."
Neville, it appears, has already been proved right about the culture change taking place at Goodison Park. The Blues have won all four of their Premier League games this season, and next up is the Merseyside derby.

Emmen confirm Tarashaj loan is cancelled
Shani Tarashaj's loan deal with FC Emmen has been cancelled, the Dutch club have confirmed.
The Swiss international moved over last summer and Everton helped to facilitate the deal by extending the player’s contract, meaning Emmen could afford the player’s wages over a two-year period.
However, a statement from Emmen, published today, reads: “For both parties his time in Emmen went differently than hoped for, due to injuries, the five-time international of Switzerland has never been able to show his talent with the first team at De Oude Meerdijk.
“Shani got no further than a few minutes in FC Emmen 2, as he managed to score in the match against Cambuur 2 last season.
"We wish Shani the best of luck in the rest of his career.
Distin pinpoints Everton’s ‘underrated’ pair
Former Everton defender Sylvain Distin has praised the club's ‘underrated’ duo and talked up Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s long-term saviour.
Distin had a storied Premier League career that included spells with Newcastle United, Manchester City, Everton and Bournemouth.
When reflecting on his current favourites at Goodison Park, he explained that some of his fellow Frenchmen are under-appreciated.
Distin told France Football, via Sport Witness : “I have a weakness for right-back Seamus Coleman with whom I played.
“There is also Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has just been called up for the national team. Proof that something is happening at Everton.
“(Lucas) Digna and (Abdoulaye) Doucoure are underrated in France because they haven’t played there much and they don’t play at a ‘media club’. But they are super pros, solid, discreet.”
