Everton evening headlines as Andrea Belotti 'new bid' suggested and Carlo Ancelotti transfer effect

Here are your Everton evening headlines for Monday, April 13.

Everton to go back in for Belotti

Everton are set to go back in with a new offer for Torino striker Andrea Belotti after failing with their first offer, according to Tuttosport, via Inside Futbol.

Belotti has scored 15 times for Torino in all competitions this season, with Carlo Ancelotti wishing to bolster his attacking options at the end of the campaign.

The Italian outlet reported that Everton have already failed with a €45m bid for the 26-year-old but are preparing a new offer for the Italian forward.

However, Torino president Urbano Cairo wants Belotti to stay but the striker is reportedly keen on a move away from the Italian side.

The Ancelotti transfer effect

With James Rodriguez being consistently linked with a move to Everton this summer, this shows the effect that Ancelotti is having on potential transfers to Goodison Park, writes Adam Jones.

There are questions over the links to Rodriguez, questioning the sense in the deal, but Jones believes the rumours are showing the kind of effect a name like Ancelotti being in charge of the Blues is doing for the club.

“It seems fairly clear that there is one clear reason the Blues are being linked with a swoop for Rodriguez, and that’s Ancelotti,” Jones writes.

“The Italian has signed the Colombian international twice before, initially bringing him to Real Madrid in 2014 and signing the midfielder on a two-year loan at Bayern Munich in 2017.

“And that’s led to questions of whether another reunion between the pair could be on the cards at Goodison Park this time around.

“Whether or not the move comes off or it is later revealed to be nothing more than a rumour, this is the type of pull Evertonians wanted to see when Ancelotti joined the club.”

Ancelotti’s perfect response to young Blues fan

Everton manager Ancelotti has issued a perfect response to a video of a young Blues fans entertaining his street whilst the United Kingdom is on lockdown.

With all football suspended indefinitely, supporters of the game have had to try and entertain themselves and that’s what one young Everton fan did for their whole street.

The supporter started to sing Ancelotti’s chant loudly to members of his street, and the Toffees boss quote tweeted the video.

“You are fantastic and magnificent. Thank you and stay well,” the Italian manager said quoting the tweet.
