Everton evening headlines as €80million transfer battle emerges

Here are your Everton headlines for the evening of Tuesday, November 24.

Everton among six Premier League clubs weighing up move for La Liga winger - report

Samu Chukwueze is on Everton’s radar, with the Blues reportedly among six Premier League clubs weighing up a move for the Villarreal winger.

The 21-year-old is seen as one of the brightest young talents in La Liga right now, with Real Madrid also believed to be among those taking an interest.

According to Spanish publication La Razon (via the Mirror ), there could be as many as half a dozen Premier League sides pushing to sign Chukwueze, who recently impressed in a draw against Real Madrid.

One potential obstacle to Everton pulling off a deal for Chukwueze is his release clause, which is currently set at €80million. While the youngster is a promising talent, this would be a huge price to pay in the current climate.

Royal Blue: Richarlison importance to Everton highlighted in win at Fulham

Richarlison reminds Everton of what they have been missing

Everton claimed all three points on Sunday with a 3-2 win over Fulham, with Richarlison one of the most impressive performers on the pitch.

It took the forward just 42 seconds to make an impact in the game, surging into the opposition penalty area with the ball at his feet and squaring a pass for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to finish from close range.

The ECHO’S Royal Blue Podcast panel discussed the Brazilian’s display in their latest episode, with Connor O’Neill reserving special praise for the former Watford man.

“He's Everton's best player by a country mile,” he said. “The big thing for me now is that it seemingly doesn't matter how much money Everton spend and what they do recruitment-wise, he's the talisman now. No-one will get close to him. He gives this Everton side something they don't have when he's not there, he's something special.”

Doucoure sets sights on becoming regular scorer for Blues

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure wants his goal in the 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham on Sunday to be the first of a scoring run.

The French midfielder got on the end of a Lucas Digne cross into the middle to head home his first goal for the Blues since making his summer move from Watford and he has now set his sight on adding more to his tally.

“To score three goals in an away game is a very good sign for the future. It felt good to score and it was very important for us. I worked hard in training to score my first goal,” he said .

“I was trying and trying and when you work hard, especially in this team, you get your rewards. I worked hard during the international break to come back to my best level. That goal will help me a lot and I can score more goals to help the team. That is why Everton brought me here. This goal and performance will help me a lot to settle even more at this club.”
