Everton drawn at home to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals

Everton have been drawn at home to Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti 's men will host the Red Devils at Goodison Park in December with the next round of the tournament scheduled to take place on December 22 and 23.

Having knocked out Salford City, Fleetwood Town and West Ham United last month to reach this stage of the competition,

And with two-legged semi-finals scrapped this year because of fixture congestion after the delayed start to the new season as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, victory would leave the Blues just 90 minutes away from a potential final appearance at Wembley.

Everton haven't won silverware since 1995, but a Dominic Calvert-Lewin hat-trick and strike from Richarlison ensured they beat West Ham on Wednesday to progress in the Carabao Cup and maintain their hopes of winning the trophy to end their drought.

The Blues are now back in action on Saturday as they host Brighton & Hove Albion, looking to maintain their 100% winning record so far this season to return to the top of the Premier League table
