The FA have warned Yerry Mina about his future conduct and fined the Everton defender £10,000 after appearing in an advertisement for a Colombian betting company.
The centre-back was charged by the Football Association in July after starring in the promotion for Betjuego in his home country earlier in the year.
The 24-year-old admitted the charge of misconduct in relation to the FA's betting rules at the earliest possible opportunity and apologised for his mistake.
The FA Regulatory Commission have published its written reasons behind its decision, which reveal that all money Mina received for the advert was donated to the Yerry Mina Foundation - a charitable organisation set up by the defender in 2016 to help disadvantaged young people from his hometown.
It was also confirmed that the defender requested the advert to be removed as soon as he was informed he was in breach of FA rules.
The centre-back ended his association with the betting company in May.
The Everton man is currently on international duty with Colombia, who are due to play Venezuela in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
