Everton defender Yerry Mina distances himself from betting company after controversial video

Yerry Mina has ended his association with a Colombian betting firm after the Football Association looked into his appearance in a video.

The Everton defender starred in a promotion for Betjuego but it is against FA rules for players to be linked with gambling advertising.

It is understood that the Betjuego video has now been removed after it was shared widely on social media.

And Mina, it is believed, has disassociated himself with the company with the FA due to speak with the 24-year-old.

Everton paid Barcelona an initial £27.5m last summer to sign the towering centre-half but his first season at Goodison has been dogged by injury.

Mina started the final game of the season on Sunday as the Blues drew 2-2 with Spurs.
