Everton defender Morgan Feeney completes loan move to Tranmere Rovers

Morgan Feeney has completed his loan move to Tranmere Rovers.

The Everton under-23s' captain will spend the rest of the season at Prenton Park and help in their fight for League One survival.

Feeney's loan is the first of his Blues' career.

The 20-year-old is a double Premier League 2 title winner and been a key member of the club's success at that level under David Unsworth.

Bootle's Feeney, a centre-half, has two first-team appearances under his belt after playing in the Europa League in late 2017 and is entering the final year of his contract.

Talks over the potential for a new deal are expected to be picked up but his immediate focus will be helping Micky Mellon's side in a relegation clash against bottom club Bolton this weekend.

Tranmere are six points from safety.
