Everton defender linked with Arsenal and Bayern Munich transfer joins senior training

Exciting Everton youngster Thierry Small has been part of first-team training this week ahead of the match against Chelsea on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti has been known to select a number of the club's young talents from the under-23s to join his sessions with the senior side.

The likes of Beni Baningime, Denis Adeniran, Ellis Simms, Jarrad Branthwaite have benefitted from joining the squad for various sessions.

And Small is the latest addition to that exciting group of youngsters to get the chance to impress.

Recent reports have suggested the left-back has attracted the interest of some of Europe's biggest clubs recently with Bayern Munich, Juventus and Arsenal all linked with a potential swoop.

The 16-year-old only made his debut for David Unsworth's U23s side in October for a 0-0 draw against Spurs, a match which also saw Imam Jagne and Mackenzie Hunt make their first appearances at that level.

Small later got his first under-23s start against Blackburn in November's 1-1 draw having made seven appearances for the club's under-18s this term - bagging three goals in the process.

Take our 30-second Everton transfer survey and let us know what Carlo Ancelotti needs to do in the January window.
